My old U model has been sitting in the living room for a couple of seasons. I pulled it out and with a bit of gas she fired right up... then proceeded to dump a quart of oil out the breather. After that everything was fine. I have a Thoro shift on it and never had the proper lever. I found one in my junk and put it on (longer throw).
