If you read my recent post on Road Bikes with a Speedway Influenece then you will have seen the vintage Weslake that the guys at Flake Kings were attempting to ride on the road, well, I'm happy to tell you that it's nearly finished. The frame, forks and rims have been powdercoated, the aluminium has all been polished and all of the green parts were mega-flaked the "Flake Kings" way. Lots of special parts have been used such as the Teflon Speedway spoolhub and a hard-to-find 23inch slick front slick tyre. The speedway seat was covered in a matching flake vinyl by Miller Kustom Upholstery. Now all they need is some methanol and to get this bike on the road... Oh Yeah!
The excellent photographs were taken by Limpe Iven
